Distance: 2k
PARKING: Crickley Hill Visitors Centre ( chargeable)
ACCESSIBILITY: Disabled car parking and toilets at the visitor centre. Hard track some of the way around the hill top fort walk.
EAT/ DRINK: Nice cafe with kids corner
FACILITIES: Toilets at visitor centre
HIGHLIGHTS: Walk to the Iron Age Hill top fort for a lovely short walk for little legs. The car park opens right on to the stunning countryside views.

STEP BY STEP:
From the café and visitors centre turn left to head to the Hill fort area.
You will go through a gate and pass a map of the local area that gives details of the surrounding hills and landmarks. Keep following the path and you will come to some information boards about the history of the hill top fort.

Go past these boards and the wide, flat field before you opens up with stunning views. There are gentle slopes and areas with trees to explore.
If you carry on to the end of this field there is a large long stone wall. Follow the wall and walk around in a loop and retrace your steps back to the car park or explore at leisure, walking for as long or as little as you please. There is plenty to see and we saw lots of birds which was delightful.
Make sure to call in at the wonderful little café which has colouring and activity boards for the kids and a nice selection of the usual café offerings and some delicious ice creams!
